Peterborough Register Office is situated at 33 Thorpe Road, opposite the District Hospital. When approaching Peterborough by car, please follow the signs for the District Hospital. There is car parking available at the Register Office.

All birth, death and marriage facilities are on the ground floor with easy wheelchair access. There are two waiting rooms, one for births and deaths and one for ceremony parties. A public payphone is available for use within the office.

The Marriage and Ceremony room will seat 30 guests. This room was completely refurbished to a high standard in 2005. Flower arrangements are changed according to the season. The room is fitted with a loop hearing system to help those guests who use a hearing aid to hear the ceremony. After the ceremony, marriage parties leave by the patio doors into the garden. Photographs may be taken by the old archway.

Visitors to the Register Office will be greeted by the Receptionist who will make appointments, take certificate applications and provide information.
